Job description
Do you have a gentle, calm, and loving dog? Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community together?
Holisticare Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to visit hospice patients with their certified therapy dogs. The loving presence of a dog can provide joy, comfort, and connection when it's needed most.
What You’ll Do:
Visit hospice patients in facilities which may include all levels of care
Offer companionship, comfort, and smiles through your dog’s loving presence
Be a source of emotional support not only for patients but often for their families and caregivers
You and Your Dog Are a Great Fit If:
Your dog is calm, friendly, and up-to-date on all vaccinations
You are dependable, kind, and a good listener
You're comfortable in sensitive environments
Therapy dog certification is required—we’ll help guide you through the process if needed
Training & Support Provided:
All volunteers receive hospice training, ongoing support, and flexible scheduling.
