We're hiring a Sheet Metal Machine Operator for our Stafford, TX client! We are looking for dependable manufacturing professionals with experience operating metal cutting, punching, shearing, or forming equipment who are ready to interview immediately!
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:
Job Title: Sheet Metal Machine Operator - Coil Line, Shear & Press Brake
Location: Stafford, TX
Pay:
$18.00/hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM , plus Saturdays
Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Description of Duties: Operate industrial sheet metal fabrication equipment to cut, punch, shear, and bend metal materials according to production specifications. Work with coil line equipment, metal shears, and CNC press brakes to prepare components for downstream manufacturing and assembly.
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders to determine proper dimensions and material requirements. Measure, position, and process sheet metal using appropriate measuring tools while ensuring accurate cuts, bends, and punched components. Inspect completed materials for dimensional accuracy and quality before transferring them to the welding and assembly departments.
Maintain a safe and organized workstation, monitor equipment operation, and follow established production and quality standards.
Requirements:
Previous experience operating industrial manufacturing machinery, sheet metal equipment, or metal fabrication machines preferred. Experience with coil lines, shears, punching equipment, or CNC press brakes is highly desirable.
Candidates must be able to read and interpret blueprints or fabrication drawings, accurately measure materials, and follow production specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment are important.
This is a machine operation position, NOT a welding position. Employees will prepare and process metal components that are transferred to a separate welding department for final assembly.
