Job description

Shift Foreman - Midstream Control CenterHF Sinclair Midstream is seeking a Shift Foreman for their Control Center located in Artesia, NM. This position will supervise the pipeline work force responsible for the maintenance and operation of the pipeline within an assigned area and shift, maintain facilities and pipeline, oversee safety performance and environmental compliance, and provide leadership and human resource management with minimal supervision. Comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.Job DutiesOversees all aspects of control room operations.Provides oversight to the controllers on-shift, especially during startups, shutdowns, abnormal operating conditions and emergencies.Update existing procedures when necessary and assist in drafting procedures for new assets.Review hourly line balances and assist controllers in investigating causes of imbalances.Review all tickets, line fill reports and other correspondence before it is distributed outside of the control center.Ensure pipelines are running efficiently.Provide first level support for on-duty controllers.Assist management with controller performance reviews.Escalate matters to management as necessary.Provide performance feedback to on-duty controllers especially after poor performance or great performance is witnessed.Keep management apprised of such performances.Help on-duty controllers during times of heavy workload by assuming some of the workload.Cover the console when the on-duty controller takes a break.Ensure all aspects of the Control Room Management Plan and the Fatigue Risk Management System are adhered too.Promote HollyFrontier's Mission and Values.Encourage a work environment that is rewarding, productive and aware of operations.Special assignments, projects or tasks as assigned to the employee by their manager from time to time in their sole and complete discretion of managementExperienceA minimum of five years of on-the-job experience and at least three years' industry experience are required.Education Level: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent amount of education and work experience, is required.Required SkillsDepending on location, may require some or all of the following: special training in Industrial Firefighting courses, HAZMAT, Chemical Treatment and Industrial Strategy & Tactics, working knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations.Working knowledge of Microsoft products and any local systems applications.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; knowledge of refinery operations; interpersonal, conflict resolution, supervisory and leadership skills.Flexible, decisive and innovative. Ability to act decisively under pressure and assume risks.Work ConditionsOffice and plant based.
