Job description
Job TitleIt is the responsibility of the Shipper I to support production and shipment schedules, as well as prepare products for shipment in accordance with shipping instructions and customer requests. This position primarily requires interaction with many different departments in manufacturing.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and pack products for shipment using appropriate materials.Verify the quantity of product to ship is accurate against packing list.Visually inspect outbound products for defects.Prepare necessary documents and paperwork for shipments.Understand and use work orders, sales orders, and storeroom procedures.Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization through 6S practices.Participate in preparation and performance of physical inventories of all parts.Operate overhead crane as needed.Perform other related duties as necessary.Overtime is required as needed.RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
