Kit Packer / ShipperThe Kit Packer / Shipper is responsible for accurately packaging and releasing kits used in a medical manufacturing environment. Working directly from work orders, this role involves using RF scanning equipment to verify items, picking and boxing products throughout the facility, and ensuring all kits are correctly assembled, labeled, and documented. The position requires careful inspection of finished goods, basic computer use to navigate inventory databases, and consistent attention to detail to maintain high quality standards.Responsibilities:Work directly from work orders to pick, pack, and assemble kits according to established procedures.Use mobile RF scanning equipment to locate products, verify part numbers, and ensure accurate quantities are picked.Push carts throughout the facility to collect and transport items needed for kit packaging and shipping.Set up kits and prepare materials for packaging, ensuring all required components are included.Inspect finished products and assembled kits for accuracy, completeness, and quality before release.Print and apply labels to products and kits, ensuring correct information and proper placement.Cap and label products as needed to meet packaging and quality requirements.Break down expired kits and properly handle and document components removed from inventory.Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.Use a computer to navigate multiple databases, check inventory levels, and document inventory transactions.Record completed work on spreadsheets and other documentation tools with accurate data entry.Handle products stored in freezers, retrieving items quickly and safely with provided protective gloves.Follow all safety, quality, and production guidelines in a clean medical manufacturing environment.Support general labor, assembly, and production tasks related to packaging and kitting as needed.Essential Skills:At least 1 year of order selection or inventory experience.Experience using mobile RF scanning equipment to scan orders, locate products, and accurately pick correct parts and quantities.Hands-on experience with picking, packing, and material handling in a production or warehouse setting.Ability to perform inventory cycle counting and maintain accurate inventory records.Strong attention to detail with accurate part counting and verification.Ability to inspect finished goods and assembled kits for quality and completeness.Capability to label products and kits precisely, following established standards.Proficient written and verbal communication skills to follow instructions and document work clearly.Ability to accurately document finished work on spreadsheets and in inventory systems.Comfort working around cold products and briefly entering walk-in freezers to retrieve items.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience in medical device or medical manufacturing environments.Experience in kitting, assembly, and general production tasks.Familiarity with basic hand tools used in packaging or assembly work.Experience with general labor and packaging in clean, well-organized facilities.Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.Comfort navigating multiple computer databases for inventory and order management.Why Work Here?Employees enjoy a clean, campus-like environment with strong opportunities for growth and development. Some products are stored in freezers similar to stand-up garage freezers, and employees may briefly enter a larger walk-in freezer for 25 minutes at a time to retrieve items; protective gloves are provided when handling cold products. The facility has a campus-like feel, featuring large break rooms, areas for ping pong, workout rooms, and other amenities that support employee comfort and well-being.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
