Job description
Inventory Management AssistantCompiles and maintains material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas.Role and ResponsibilitiesAssist Supply Chain and Operations personnel with physical movement of material.Enter basis issue/receipt/return-to-stockroom transactions into SAP.Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories.Research inventory discrepancies, adjusts balances on SAP.Recommends actions to prevent error recurrences.Where applicable, maintain part identity, lot/heat, quantity integrity.Advise other employees on proper material handling.QualificationsProficiency with Excel and WordAbility to efficiently enter data into ERP (SAP).A positive attitude, the willingness to learn, and an excellent work ethic.Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.Flexibility in a dynamic, fast paced environment.Education RequirementsA high school diploma or equivalent.Physical RequirementsOccasional lifting (max. 40 lbs.)Occasional carrying (max. 40 lbs.)Subject to physical hazards from moving equipment and machine partsConstant safety glassesConstant full PPEFrequent standingOccasional sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching
