Job description
ShipperVinton, LAWe are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping & Quality Control Associate to join our team. This position combines shipping coordination, data entry, documentation, and quality inspections. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with computers and spreadsheets, and able to follow detailed procedures in a fast-paced production environment.What You'll DoEnter and maintain accurate information in company databasesCoordinate and update shipments using domestic and international shipping systemsEnter and update records throughout all stages of productionReview and work with Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office applicationsMake changes and updates to shipments and shipping documentation as neededRespond to emails and communicate with the appropriate departmentsFollow company procedures and stay current with updated shipping requirementsFollow requirements related to Hazardous Materials (HazMat) shippingComplete assigned training and follow established proceduresAssist with quality control inspections and documentationInspect materials during the pre-assembly process to ensure they meet specifications before productionFollow inspection sampling plans and quality control proceduresUse basic inspection tools and equipment as neededAccurately complete inspection paperwork and documentationCommunicate any quality issues or concerns to the appropriate team membersSkills and ExperienceStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood organizational and time-management skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsComfortable using computers and Microsoft OfficeAbility to read and follow detailed procedures and instructionsAbility to work independently while also working as part of a teamAbility to identify and communicate problems or discrepanciesPrevious shipping, logistics, manufacturing, quality control, or data-entry experience is a plusExperience with HazMat shipping is a plusPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 55 lbs.Ability to perform repetitive inspection and documentation tasksAbility to use basic tools/equipment for quality inspectionsBenefitsWeekly pay$5 prescription drugs$5 doctor's visit copaysFree teledoctor serviceFree counseling servicesLife insurance includedVision insurance includedDental insurance includedVacation and holiday payScholarship Opportunities401(k) retirement planFree legal servicesOur unbeatable employee discount programApply now so we can hold a spot for you.
