Job description
Job TitleOur client develops, produces, and maintains fans, valves, and e-compressors, serving more than 20 clients in the aerospace and defense sectors. Responsible for shipping, receiving, and delivering supplies, materials, and equipment. Key duties include verifying incoming shipments, posting receipts in the computer system, labeling parts, logging discrepancies, and ensuring all items on shipping manifests are accounted for. The role also involves creating repair files in AX, maintaining inventory records, and supporting MRO and OEM production needs through efficient materials handling.ResponsibilitiesLabel, cycle count, control for First in, First Out (FIFO)May coordinate disposal of surplus property and manage records retention.Move product as required; optimize space and time utilizationPick, transfer, issue, locate, sort, and/or consolidate items as requiredDocument the return and issue of the part found nonconforming in production.Sorting and segregation of serviceable and unserviceable materialsMonitor and address shelf life and expiring materialsComplete the hourly Milk Run to support production; hand-deliver parts to productionReceive picking tickets, pick and distribute corresponding parts, and monitor mis-picksOperates a personal computer to access, enter, and correct information; answers phones andprovides information using customer serviceMay prepare damage claims for supervisor's review and signatureUse IT systems to manage stock requests, picks, counts, receipts, shipments, tracking,adjustments, movements, etc.Assist with the creation, updating, following, and training others with Standard OperatingProcedures (SOPs)Report maintenance and repairs of logistics tools and equipment in NetFacilitiesCommunicationsLiaise and negotiate with internal customers and SCMAllocate time and manage priorities according to changing needsContinually improve and develop business performanceImplement health and safety proceduresPackage items for shipping per packing cards for OEM products and similar standards forMRO/Repairs: verify consistency between documents and itemsComply with Export Control requirements, document HTSC, and register according to the licenseCreate shipping labels (FedEx, UPS, Schenker, etc.); arrange for pickupUpdate ERP system (AX) with tracking numbersSkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent certification/experienceKnowledge of basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividingStrong computing skills, PC literateKnowledge of MRP Process/ ERP system experienceAPICS Certification preferredLean/Six Sigma certification preferredMust be able to pass Background and drug testing
