Our new 120k sf state of the art facility in Exeter, New Hampshire will raise the bar in high precision manufacturing - come and join us! The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for performing tasks involved in the shipping of materials, supplies and equipment. Will also be dedicated to delivery of products within region using a company vehicle as needed. Participates in problem solving activities and contributes to quality improvements. Actively promotes teamwork atmosphere and supports team development. This is a key role in our warehouse that requires a go-getter who can change direction with minimal notice.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Strive towards a culture of proactive safetyPackages and ships company products to specific guidelines and customer requirementsVisually check package for damage prior to opening and receipt; awareness factor for potential content damage, document (photos, etc.), notify quality and purchasingBasic visual inspection of part for obvious damage; nicks, dents, etc.Review certification(s) for compliance; verify contents match requirement for cert per PO, validate values reported are in complianceVerify traceability, matching serial numbers on pack slip to physical partsReview paint supplier checklists (where applicable) for compliance; are all requirements met, boxes 'checked', reconciliation with rest of paperwork and partsScan all receiving documentation to create electronic record; verify that all information has been scanned and is legibleUtilizes E2 Shoptech (ERP system) to correctly transact shipments and receivingProvides accurate and detailed information through communication channels to support customer inquiries as they relate to shipmentsCorrectly places identifying information on containers, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against travelers or other recordsExamines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specificationsUsing the company vehicle, deliver parts safely and in a professional manner as neededOther duties as assignedEXPERIENCE:High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED)5 years of relative shipping experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment requiredFamiliarity/ability to read and understand Quality documentation, basic understanding of documentationGood visual acuity and attention to detailAbility to follow a Receiving Inspection Plan (RI)Ability to provide safe driving records and historyInterpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formStrong computer knowledge, with accuracy to detail a mustWork with minimum supervision and ability to pivot as neededPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shiftAbility to frequently use hands and fingers to operate machine controls, tools, and measuring instrumentsAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and components weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as required to load, unload, and inspect parts and equipmentAbility to perform repetitive motions involving the hands, wrists, and armsAbility to visually inspect parts, interpret and read blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, and use gauges, and measuring devicesAbility to distinguish colors, dimensions, and surface defects when performing quality inspectionsAbility to hear and communicate effectively in a manufacturing environmentAbility to safely operate equipment in a fast-paced production setting while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and other equipment as requiredAbility to work in an environment with exposure to machine noise, metal chips, cutting fluids, lubricants, and varying temperaturesAbility to maintain regular attendance and work scheduled shifts, including overtime as requiredWORK ENVIRONMENT:Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical equipmentFrequent interaction with machine tools, raw materials, and finished productsCompliance with all company safety policies, housekeeping requirements, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention practicesRequired use of appropriate PPE and adherence to all safety proceduresEssential Functions Disclaimer: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
