Shipping & Receiving AssociateA Shipping & Receiving Associate is needed for a manufacturer in Lancaster, Ohio to become a vital part of their logistics team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are eager to learn, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to accuracy, safety, and teamwork. You'll be trained in key operational systems and equipment, and cross-trained across shipping and receiving functions to support the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility.Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving Duties:Operate forklifts (certification provided)Use Oracle-Receiving module to process incoming goodsUnload, verify, and document raw material deliveriesOrganize and transport materials to designated storage areasShipping Duties:Operate hand scanners and label printersPrepare Bills of Lading (BOLs) with accurate freight classificationsLoad outbound shipmentsMaintain shipping equipment and suppliesGeneral Duties:Perform equipment inspections and minor maintenanceParticipate in inventory counts and Lean projectsEnsure safety compliance and proper use of PPESupport cross-training and departmental flexibilityThis is a temp-to-direct, full-time, first and second shift position, hiring immediately. The schedule for first is Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM and second is Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1 AM. Rate of pay is in the range of $22.88 to $23.28. If hired on directly, full benefits are offered, including health insurance.Skills & Qualifications:Basic computer and calculator proficiencyStrong math skills (including fractions and tape measure reading)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the dayEffective communication in English (verbal and written)Prior forklift experienceIdeal Traits:Positive, cooperative, and respectful attitudeSelf-motivated and dependableDetail-oriented and safety-consciousFlexible and able to adapt to changing schedulesTeam player with leadership potential
