Job description
Shipping And Receiving AssociateWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to support daily warehouse and distribution operations. This position is responsible for receiving, stocking, packing, and shipping products while maintaining accurate inventory records.Responsibilities:Safely and efficiently load and unload productsVerify products received from suppliers against packing listsStock products in the appropriate warehouse locationsSelect the proper packing method to protect products during shipmentPrepare outgoing orders for shipmentUse a Transportation Management System (TMS) to select shipping methods and freight carriersUse an ERP system to maintain accurate inventory recordsPerform daily cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepanciesCommunicate shipping information to customers, vendors, and coworkers by phone and emailOrganize and prioritize work orders to meet shipping deadlinesRecommend improvements to warehouse processes and the work environmentMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work areaPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or GEDPrevious warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience preferredData entry experienceForklift experience or willingness to be trained and certifiedProficiency with Outlook emailExperience with ERP or inventory-management systems is preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to communicate clearly and professionallyAbility to work independently with limited supervisionDependable, self-motivated, and able to prioritize multiple ordersPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and move up to 50 poundsAbility to regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, and crouchAbility to perform repetitive material-handling dutiesClose visual acuity for reviewing products, paperwork, and inventory information
