Shipping & Receiving ClerkMadison Heights, MIAjax Tocco Magnethermic (ATM), a subsidiary of ParkOhio, traces its roots back to the 1800s and has a rich history of excellence in induction heating and melting solutions. The present company was formed in 1959 when the Magnethermic Corporation acquired the assets of Ajax Electrothermic Corp. combining their expertise and capabilities.The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate handling, movement, and documentation of incoming and outgoing materials. This role supports warehouse operations by ensuring shipments are received, verified, packaged, and shipped efficiently while maintaining inventory accuracy and a safe, organized work environment. The position requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.Job Duties:Receive incoming shipments; verify accuracy against packing slips and purchase ordersTrack and document shipments within inventory and logistics systemsTag, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locationsPrepare, package, and ship outgoing orders accurately and efficientlyBuild custom crates and pallets to support safe transportation of finished goodsOperate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to move materialsMaintain accurate inventory levels and support cycle counts as neededIdentify and resolve discrepancies related to shipments or inventoryMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environmentFollow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsWork independently across multiple warehouse functions as neededWhat You Need To Be Successful:High school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license5+ years of experience in shipping, including crate building for finished goods3+ years of forklift operating experienceAbility to lift up to 70 lbs regularlyExperience with inventory control and shipping/receiving processesBasic computer skills with experience entering data into systemsPreferred Qualifications:Forklift certificationExperience with ERP or inventory management softwareStrong woodworking skills (crate and pallet building)Ajax Tocco Magnethermic provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
