Shipping & Receiving ClerkLocation: Monroe, NC Pay: $24/hr. - $26/hr. Schedule: 1st Shift Job Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. This position is responsible for accurately receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring products and paperwork move efficiently through the facility.The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to communicate effectively with drivers, vendors, production personnel, and internal teams.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, count, and verify incoming materials and shipmentsPrepare outgoing orders for shipment, including labeling, packaging, and documentationAccurately enter shipping and receiving information into the company's computer systemCompare purchase orders, packing slips, and shipments to verify accuracyMaintain organized shipping and receiving areasCoordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding deliveries and shipmentsAssist with inventory counts and investigate discrepanciesOperate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment as neededFollow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work areaPerform other warehouse and shipping-related duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracyBasic computer skills and ability to learn inventory/shipping softwareAbility to read and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentsGood communication and organizational skillsAbility to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the workdayForklift experience or certification is a plusReliable attendance and a strong work ethicPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to approximately 50 poundsAbility to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and climb as requiredAbility to work safely around warehouse equipment and moving materialsWhat We're Looking ForSomeone who takes ownership of their work, pays attention to the details, and understands that accurate shipping and receiving is critical to keeping the entire operation moving.
