Job description
Shipping and Receiving ClerkOur client, a local manufacturing organization, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join their team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be part of the operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.Location: Traverse City, MIPay Range: $20/hrShift: 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through FridayWhat's the Job?Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.Perform inspections for damage, defects, and compliance with specifications.Unload/load pallets and stage shipments for processing.Prepare, pack, and label outbound orders; generate shipping documentation and freight carrier manifests.Schedule freight carrier pickups and track shipments until delivery confirmation.What's Needed?3-5 years in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control roles.Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Excel.Associate's Degree or equivalent - PreferredAbility to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and frequent standing/walking.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
