Delivery Truck and Warehouse Equipment operation is required for this position. Note: This is a part-time position 17.5 hours per week.What you'll do in this position:Be available to receive freight at warehouseManage delivery schedule and student employees assigned to central receivingMaintain warehouse space as directed by level 2 and leadRequired to complete all safety training.Respond to unscheduled daily shop requests which vary in nature and urgency.May require overtime and late-night work assignments.Other duties and responsibilities such as special events, surplus, furniture installation or other responsibilities as assigned by Moving Shop Management.What qualifies you for this role:A firm commitment to the mission of BYUA willing attitude to learn and be reliable is required.Has excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skillsThe ability to maintain a good working relationship with all involved personnel, including treating others with respect and kindness.Assumes responsibility for personal conduct which supports both the University and Departmental standards while promoting a positive image of Physical Facilities and Moving Services.Adheres to university standards and policies.Supports the department and university mission statements.Has a valid Utah Drivers' LicenseAbility to complete BYU CMV program upon employment.Forklift and lift truck certified upon employment.Preferred:Related experience with Shipping and Receiving.What we offer in return:Employee assistance program, available to the employee and all members of their householdAccess to the libraryFree on-campus parkingFree UTA passDiscounts at the BYU Store and for many events at BYUPay Grade: 47Typical Starting Pay: $19.25 to $24.50The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate's job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
