Shipping Clerk – Day ShiftPay Rate: $18.00/hour Employment Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt Schedule: Day Shift Dress Code: Business CasualJob Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our day shift team. The associate will report to the Shipping Supervisor and be responsible for pulling, inspecting, preparing, and shipping customer orders. The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on experience operating a stand-up forklift and be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Key Responsibilities:Execute all aspects of the order picking and shipping process for freight and small parcel shipments.Efficiently pick customer orders according to pick lists.Inspect products pulled by other order pickers to ensure accuracy and quality.Wrap and prepare pallets for shipment.Load trucks safely and efficiently.Operate reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks.Use handheld scanners to complete inventory and shipping transactions.Maintain a high standard of personal safety and follow all workplace safety procedures.Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.Perform other duties as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor.Qualifications:Prior stand-up forklift experience is required. Candidates should have at least a few months of hands-on experience and be familiar and comfortable operating a stand-up forklift.1–3 years of shipping experience, including domestic and international shipping.Reach truck experience is a plus.Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team.Strong commitment to workplace safety.Compensation & Work Conditions:Pay: $18.00 per hourStatus: Non-ExemptPay Type: HourlyShift: Day ShiftOvertime: EligiblePhysical Requirements: Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pallet wrapping, and loadingWork Environment: Warehouse/ShippingReason for Opening: Project-based position
