Shipping AssociateThe Shipping Associate is a key member of Boyd's Shipping and Receiving team at the Elkhart, Indiana facility. As a Shipping Associate, you'll be responsible for accurately picking and staging products for customer orders, documenting transactions, and validating products to maintain our operational standards and satisfy our customers' expectations.We believe in investing in our employees, and we're committed to providing a positive work environment where our team members can thrive and grow. If you're looking for a challenging and rewarding position where you can contribute to a fantastic team, then we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!Essential Job ResponsibilitiesExamine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify the accuracy of shipment.Unload and organize products using a multi-directional forklift.Compute amounts, such as space available and bin storage size.Prepare and stage shipments following picklist using determined units of measure, whether it be pieces or feet.Participate in cycle counting when necessary.Ensure that all required shift paperwork is accurate and complete.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.History of safety in the workplace and solid attendance record.Past experience using multi-directional, side loader, or swing mast forklifts to move large, heavy, and odd-sized materials.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills and ExperienceKnowledge of common techniques for material handling.Good analytical and decision-making skills.Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work based on business needs.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment.Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities under minimal supervision.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for an entire 8-hour shift, which may include: bending, twisting, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.Company OverviewOut of our Elkhart, Indiana facility, Boyd has a fully dedicated and innovative team focused on providing highly engineered and patented total sealing system solutions to the Recreational Vehicle Industry.
