Job description
Shipping AssociateThe Shipping Associate helps keep our coffee operation moving by packaging coffee and tea products and packing orders for our customers, retail locations, and wholesale partners. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in doing things well, pays attention to the details, and enjoys being part of a team. While the primary focus is shipping and fulfillment, you'll also have opportunities to support the Production and Roasting team and learn more about how our coffee makes its way from our facility to the people who enjoy them.Responsibilities:Fulfilling customer orders accurately and in a timely mannerPick, pack, and prepare finished products for shipmentPalletizing finished ordersPrepacking fragile products for safe shippingRestocking boxes and other shipping supplies from our storage unitPackaging retail tea productsLoading all packages on the daily UPS pickupMoving finished goods between our production and shipping spacesRotating and condensing finished goods to free up shelf spaceAssisting the production team with day-to-day tasks as neededAssisting with receiving and putting away inbound materials and suppliesKeep work areas clean, organized and safeFollow established procedures for packaging, labeling, handling and storage in compliance with any and all food safety requirements.Jump in where needed to help keep the team and production operation movingAdditional DutiesThe responsibilities listed above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. As our business grows and evolves, responsibilities may change, and team members may occasionally be asked to take on additional tasks that support the Production and Shipping teams and the needs of the business.Requirements:Must be enthusiastic about some damn good coffeeMust be available for 40hrs a week Monday-FridayEnthusiasm and hustle to learn and grow as an individual and as a member of the teamStrong attention to detail and pride in getting things rightBasic computer skills required and an understanding of Google Drive Suite, Shopify and shipping software (Shipstation) are a plus.Flexibility and adaptability to a growing business and innovationTeam player mindsetMust be able to lift 75lbs solo and 150lbs team effortStand for long periods of time, most of the shift is spent standingFrequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects and materialsForklift experience a plusBenefits:Medical, dental & vision insurance (1st of the month following 60 days of employment)401k/retirement plan + 3% company match (after 90 days of employment)Generous PTO and Paid Sick Leave that increases with tenureFree Coffee!
