Job description
Shipping Administrative ClerkThe Shipping Administrative Clerk provides administrative support to the shipping department in a manufacturing environment, making sure orders ship accurately, on time, and in line with company and customer requirements.ResponsibilitiesPrepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and export paperwork.Schedule shipments with freight carriers, parcel services, and 3PL providers.Verify quantities, weights, dimensions, and destination details for accuracy.Enter and maintain shipping data in ERP, WMS, and TMS systems.Track shipments and resolve delays, discrepancies, and carrier issues.Coordinate with production, warehouse, and customer service on schedules and delivery status.Maintain shipping records, generate reports, and support inventory counts and receiving as needed.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.1–3 years of administrative, shipping, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.ERP or shipping software experience is a plus.Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, LTL, and truckload shipping.Export experience is a plus.Strong attention to detail, accurate data entry, and the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.Schedule is Monday-Friday day time hours.
