Job description
Warehouse And Distribution AssociateTo fulfill the requirements of the company's shipping department. Maintain a clean safe and organized working environment. Follow company's policies, regulations and operating procedures.Only apply if you have Class B driver's license and an acceptable driving record!Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Pick, check, pack and ship orders as per QSI procedure QSI-15-02.Prepare Bill of Lading (BOL) and packing slips for shipmentsPut away released finished good products; transfers from other warehouse locations as necessary.Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping proceduresInserts items into cartons using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.Affix shipping labels on packed cartonsConsolidate shipping orders as necessaryLabels identifying information and shipping instructions on productsExamines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.Utilize ERP (QAD-MFG PRO) to make inventory transactions.Assist in cycle counting finished good products as per QSI procedure QSI-15-04Operate PIT in a safe and secure manner; transport items between warehouses using PIT and/or company vehiclesKnowledge of UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping systemsAdhere to OSHA and DOT regulationsAll other duties as assigned (including but not limited to working in other departments, assignments, etc.)Run end of day reports to ensure all sales orders are shipped correctly60% driving, 40% warehousing/distributionThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Mathematical skillsAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning abilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Certificates, licenses, registrationsPowered Industrial Truck (PIT) operator training certificate to operate forklift.Class B driver's license for company truck. Acceptable driving record for insurance purposes.
