Shipping ClerkNow hiring for a Shipping Clerk Location: Rural Hall, NC Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour (Depending on experience) Schedule: 11 AM – 7 PM (Must be flexible to work weekends) Looking for Shipping Clerk jobs in Rural Hall where accuracy and teamwork keep products moving? If your skills and experience are a good match for this role please apply today.Education Requirements:High school diploma or GED requiredBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, email, and data entryAbility to accurately complete shipping documentation and maintain recordsExperience Requirements:2+ years of previous experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, transportation coordination, or supply chainExperience creating and processing Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other freight documentationFamiliarity with freight carriers, parcel shipping, LTL (Less-Than-Truckload), and FTL (Full Truckload) shipmentsExperience using transportation management systems (TMS), shipping software, or freight tracking systems is a plusPreferred Qualifications:Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve delivery, freight, and carrier issuesExcellent customer service and communication skillsStrong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environmentExperience tracking shipments, coordinating deliveries, and managing transportation schedulesAbility to work effectively with warehouse, logistics, customer service, and production teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and OutlookPhysical Capabilities:Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout an office and warehouse environmentFrequent use of computers, phones, and office equipmentAbility to review detailed shipping records and documentation accuratelyMay occasionally lift, carry, or move shipping documents and small packagesAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities throughout the workdayJob Duties:Coordinate and monitor outgoing shipments to ensure on-time and accurate customer deliveriesTrack and trace shipments, proactively communicating delays, updates, and delivery informationSchedule pickups and deliveries with LTL, FTL, parcel, and courier carriersPrepare, review, and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping records, and transportation documentationTroubleshoot freight issues, including damaged shipments, delivery discrepancies, routing concerns, and carrier claimsUpdate shipment statuses within TMS and internal tracking systemsVerify shipping accuracy, including quantities, addresses, and special handling requirementsCommunicate with customers regarding shipment status, delivery appointments, and issue resolutionGenerate reports related to shipping activity, carrier performance, freight costs, and delivery metricsPartner with warehouse, logistics, production, and customer service teams to support efficient shipping operationsAssist with inventory reconciliation, shipment audits, and continuous process improvementsBenefits:Competitive Weekly PayComprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverageLife Insurance and Disability Insurance for added peace of mindOptional 401(k) Plan to help you prepare for the futureSafety-Focused Workplace with opportunities for growth and advancement"They've always accommodated my life situation and helped me back on my feet with work." — Warehouse Worker, StaffmarkBoxes don't move themselves.
