Shipping AssistantExpress Employment Professionals is seeking a Shipping Assistant for a hospitality snack supplier located in Buffalo, NY. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with excellent benefits once hired on!Payrate: $20.00/hrHours: Mon-Thu 9:00am-5:30pm, Fri 9:30am-3:30pm (some flexibility)Duties and Responsibilities:Pick and pack orders for shipmentAssemble and prepare shipping boxes and other necessary packaging materials.Pack shipment orders using appropriate packaging.Prepare shipments for carriers such as UPS, FedEx and LTL freight.Assist with processing of parcel and pallet shipments.Maintain a safe staging area - keeping area clean of debris.Verify orders and packaging to ensure accuracy.Assist with inventory counts.Receive inventory to ensure accuracy, lot numbers, and other necessary information is correct.Utilize internal computer programs as needed.Qualifications:Proven 1-3 years previous warehouse or shipping experienceAbility to operate a forklift and pallet jack is a plusCompetent computer skills with ability to learn new programs if unfamiliarStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to lift and manipulate objects up to 50 lbs.Interested and qualified applicants are encouraged to apply directly to this posting.
