Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoParticipate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety CultureEffectively communicate with others about possible production issues, concerns, and needsResponsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work areaTroubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with othersWork safely to prevent on the job injuries by always following safety rules and regulations including proper wearing of company PPEOperate mobile equipment such as Forklifts, overhead cranes, etcOperate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and scannersAssemble customer orders from stock and place orders in appropriate shipping/holding areaAssist in filling work/shipping ordersEnsure orders and material movements are processed accurately and on time to support production and shipping schedulesAssist in scanning/ loading trucks and rail when assistance is needed.What You'll NeedAbility to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skillsAbility to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spacesDemonstrate dependability in attendance, work completions, and flexibility to meet business needsMust be able to learn quickly and multitaskSome overtime will be requiredWillingness to work a rotating shift, including weekends and holidaysAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periodsAbility to operate a forkliftAbility to stand for duration of a shift, up to 12 hours; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shiftAble and willing to cross train as requiredHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
