The successful candidate must have the ability and willingness to work at both the Elkridge and Halethorpe sites, including driving between sites on some days for Shipping Inspection needs.What You'll Get to Do:Perform Shipping Inspection needsSubmit contract end item product as requiredInspect shipment and shipping paperwork such as government/customer shipping documents, packaging and preservation information using applicable specifications. Some interface with contracts personnel is also required for shipping processEvaluate in-process and complete sub-assemblies and systems and identify defects in accordance with governing documentationPerform inspections using tooling and check-off lists for the complete inspection of sub-assemblies and systemsConduct inspections of complex components to determine visual and dimensional checks that contribute to, or cause, defectsVisually inspect for appropriate electrical assembly specifications and standardsReview metrics, procedures, and techniques used to inspect materials, parts, units, and/or systems that improperly passed inspectionPerform ISO Audits as required by site compliance assessmentsPerform as a Quality Process Control Aide in an AS-9100 process-oriented organizationBasic Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience working within the Defense Industry, Quality, Inspection, Shipping and/or ManufacturingExperience using SAPExperience in electromechanical assemblyExperience with shipping/packaging requirementsExperience using CADSTAR to review engineering drawingsAbility to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearanceU.S. citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Active US Government Secret Security ClearanceAS 9100Experience interfacing with DoD customersExperience within a quality inspection capacityPrimary Level Salary Range: $54,517.00 - $132,658.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
