Shipping/Receiving and Delivery SpecialistPosition Location: Plymouth Configuration Center, Plymouth, MNReports to: SupervisorJob Summary:This role is responsible for shipping and receiving IT equipment and hardware including laptops and periphery equipment and packing equipment/hardware for shipment. This role also serves as back-up to the primary delivery driver.Join a small, local team working for a growing company and offering a strong benefits package, (Health, Vision, Dental, 401k and 4+ weeks of PTO in year 1), and great work culture.The Product and Delivery Specialist will be part of the Pellera team providing high-quality solutions to our customers to ensure their investment in technology is consistent with their business objectives. Product and Delivery Specialist, working with engineers, represent Pelllera on the front line of customer support and play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the Pellera Configuration and Cross Dock Centers. They receive and control inventory, must be able to perform on the spot problem solving, prepare orders for shipment and thrive in a team environment.Essential Functions:Prepares work site by obtaining and delivering equipment, tools, supplies, and materials. A large percentage of work time is spent performing the duty.Identifies and verifies shipments against purchase orders, receiving new parts into inventory, stages inventory according to company standards, reports inventory variances, and participates in physical inventories.Pulls and stages orders from inventory.Labels customer assets, including the careful application and recording of asset tags to create critical asset records for our customers.Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and providing timely updates and complete documentation for open production work orders to ensure service level standards are met.Assists with product delivery if/as needed.Follows all "rules of the road" and operates PDS trucks in a safe manner.Responsible for delivery and/or pickup activities of delicate computer equipment.Works closely with Logistics department to coordinate on-time delivery/pickups.Interacts with clients on a regular basis.Enters required information in the regulated DOT driver logbook.Promotes a culture of continuous improvement through problem solving, preventing defects, and workflow innovation recommendations.Participates in regular staff meetings and communicates relevant information.Performs other duties as required.The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities.Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ethical and Critical ThinkingExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills.An aptitude and enthusiasm for technology.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is extremely important.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to prioritize tasksAbility to work independently without direct supervision.Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to work overtime when necessaryEducation and Experience:High School diploma or equivalent.1-3 years of general labor or customer service experienceValid driver's licensePhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
