We take pride in our commitment to safety, quality, and innovation - and in creating a workplace where employees can thrive.Why Join United Initiators?$21/hour starting pay - $22/hour after 90 days of employmentEligible for 4% annual bonusStable, full-time role with on-the-job trainingTeam-focused, safety-driven work environmentWe Offer a Competitive Benefits Package:Medical, dental, and vision insurance starting Day 1Company-paid life insurance, short-term/long-term disability, and accident insurance48 hours of sick time per year (rollover up to 96 hours)2 floating holidays + 24 hours of unavoidable absence leave80 hours of vacation after one year of service401(k) with match, Safe Harbor contribution, and profit sharingWellness Program (earn up to $350/year for routine care)Health Advocate program for additional supportAbout the Role - What You'll Do: Shipping & Receiving Associates help ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of raw materials, packaging, supplies, and finished goods within the Elyria facility.Key Responsibilities:Verify inbound materials against purchase orders and SAP entriesSample incoming raw materials per established proceduresSafely unload tankers, trucks, and trailersOperate forklifts and other material-handling equipmentPlace materials in designated storage locations; monitor cold-storage temperatures and fuel levelsRotate stock using FIFO; report and repackage damaged items as neededPerform accurate SAP transactions, receiving documentation, and cycle countsPrepare and ship customer orders following written proceduresUse barcode scanners to verify order accuracySafely load outbound trucks and secure cargo for transportSecure cargo in overseas containers or dedicated trailers to prevent movement in transitOperate refrigeration systems on trailers, containers, and tankers when requiredComplete all shipping paperwork accurately and in compliance with company standardsFollow safety protocols and wear required PPE (including respirators)Maintain good housekeeping; participate in safety meetings and required trainingWhat We're Looking For:High school diploma or GEDAbility to qualify for a company-issued forklift licenseAbility to lift 55 lbs regularly and up to 110 lbs occasionallyAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, and perform physical tasksAbility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as neededBasic math skills and ability to distinguish colorFluent in English (reading and writing)Ability to wear a respirator; must meet fit-to-work requirements and pass an employment physicalExperience with SAP or other inventory control systems preferredWork Environment: Manufacturing/plant environment with physical activity, material-handling equipment, noise, chemical exposure, and varying temperatures.Ready to take the first step?
