Imagine walking through stores and seeing our labels on your favorite products and brands!Shifts Available: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pmOur full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and much moreCompensation will be based on the skills and experiences you bring to SmythKey Responsibilities for Shipping Associate include:Oversight of shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy of counts and documentation, resolving any discrepancies as neededRouting of documentation to proper recordkeeping unit, i.e., Accounts PayableMaintaining overall accuracy, control, and organization of the warehouseAssisting with loading/unloading trucks and putting away product in the correct stock locationIdentifying, recommending, and implementing areas for Lean improvement/modificationThe ideal Shipping Associate candidate must demonstrate:Attention to detail, effective time management, and multi-tasking skills to meet deadlines on multiple long and short-term projects simultaneouslyWillingness to work within a team to further enhance business systems, processes, and workflowAccountability for maintaining a safe work environment at all timesExcellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration to effectively work with a diverse group of people and personalities.Ability to provide high level of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organizationEducation, Skills, and Experience:Required: High School degree or equivalentRequired: Must be able to perform heavy work, lifting up to 50 pounds, frequently pushing and pulling heavy items, often lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 poundsRequired: Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English languagePreferred: Experience operating warehouse equipment such as a forklift and electric pallet jack; must be willing to become certified for forklift usePreferred: Experience with shipping/receiving operationsA Plus: Experience with PrintingA Plus: Experience working with lean manufacturing
