Shipping & Receiving ClerkPenske Logistics is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to become part of an excellent team in Salt Lake City! This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant and outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.Our associates enjoy PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, 401K, and numerous Associate Discounts!Position Summary:The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and operational support for the shipping and receiving office within our warehouse operation. This role plays an active part in coordinating driver activity, preparing and dispatching loads, and reviewing and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate professionally with both internal teams and customers.Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10:30pm (OT and weekends as required by business need)Pay: $20.00/hour + $1.00 shift differential = $21/hourMajor Responsibilities:Utilize WMS to audit parts for delivery routesIdentify, investigate, and correct route discrepanciesReceive and dispatch drivers in a timely manner.Prepare, manifest, and dispatch outbound loads correctly.Coordinate driver activity with the dock to ensure timely receiving of inbound loads.Maintain organized filing system (electronic and paper).Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.Support general office and warehouse tasks as needed.Qualifications:2 years of general office experience required1 year of customer service experience requiredHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious shipping/receiving clerk experience highly preferred.Strong written and oral communication skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint requiredExperience with Warehouse Management Systems highly preferredRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the jobWillingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.Physical Requirements:-The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
