Shipping And Receiving ClerkThe Shipping And Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, verification, storage, and shipment of materials and finished products. This role ensures inventory is properly handled, documented, and processed to support efficient operations, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company procedures. The hours for this position will be Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, with the possibility of working 8am-5pm if needed. Occasional Saturdays will also be required.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Shipping And Receiving Clerk performs a variety of shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory support functions. This position requires certification and competent operation of material handling equipment, attention to detail in order fulfillment, and the ability to self-manage workload to meet daily shipping and operational needs. The role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, facility organization, and on-time order fulfillment.Complete required forklift certification and training and safely operate all three types of lift equipment (Forklift, Reach Truck, and Order Selector) competentlyAccurately pull sales orders, work orders, and transfer orders according to established proceduresUnderstand and effectively use RF scanner (RF gun) functions, including transferring items between locationsStack, label, and properly store received materials and productsUnload incoming deliveries, verify contents, sign for shipments, and report discrepancies or damageDistribute received materials to appropriate departments or storage locationsAssist with validating, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, including UPS and LTL shipments (with supervision as needed)Assist in loading trucks for outbound shipments as requiredUnderstand primary fittings and distinguish between different product linesParticipate in physical year-end inventory counts and support ongoing inventory accuracy through daily practicesMaintain a clean, neat, and organized shipping, receiving, and warehouse environmentSelf-manage workload to meet shipping schedules, timelines, and operational prioritiesFollow all established safety standards, work procedures, and company policies at all timesParticipate in the implementation of process improvements and operational efficiencies as neededWork collaboratively and contribute positively within a team environmentProvide flexible support in other operational or warehouse areas as requiredJob RequirementsEducation & Certificates:High School Diploma or equivalencyTechnical Skills & Experience:1-3 years experience using RF gun and warehouse systems1 year of experience safely operating a variety of Powered Industrial TrucksCompetencies Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively understand and carry out written and verbal instructions related to shipping, receiving, safety, and operational proceduresMathematics SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using all units of measureProficiency in working with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages to ensure accuracy in inventory counts, order fulfillment, and shipping documentationReasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and adapt to situations where limited standardization existsAbility to interpret and carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formDemonstrates sound judgment and problem-solving skills in fast-paced operational environmentsKey RelationshipsFrequently interacts with all Distribution Center employees, at all levels.Working ConditionsEmployee may be exposed to a moderate level of hazards in the work environment, such as chemicals, commercial products, exposure to potential toxins, moving machinery, repetitive motion, excessive noise, powered industrial vehicle fork/reach/bucket lift/other.May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.Employee may be required to perform a moderate level of specific tasks such as lifting up to 70 lbs, frequent changes in body movements, and working at heights of up to 20 feet.Employee may experience progressive degrees of changing factors in the work process (changing work priorities, deadlines, accuracy, quotas, conflicting demands).Employee will be required to spend the majority of their shift bending, stretching, walking, and standing.Pay & Benefits:Starting hourly rate of $25.25/hour401k retirement and matchingHealth, dental and visionPaid time offSick timeShort term and long-term disabilityLife insurance
