Job description
Warehouse Distribution SpecialistEssential Job Functions – ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate and support the distribution of finished goods and spare parts by: Identify and meet on-time delivery requirementsSatisfy customer delivery requirementsSchedule freight companiesPick and ship domestic and international sales and transfer orders within ERP systemPerform receiving function daily Verify counts of parts received from production and suppliersReceive Purchase Orders and Work Orders in ERP systemStock parts on shelves in designated storage locations defined byPerform cycle counts Count partsAssist with verifications and system entryIdentify root cause and corrective action for inventory discrepanciesReconcile inventory inaccuraciesComplete Point of Use replenishmentPerform order verificationsGenerate packing lists and shipping documentation for domestic and international ordersPick work orders for assembly and relieves inventory from ERP systemMaintain accurate inventoryRegularly operate a forkliftSupport distribution activities such as packing, crating and forklift requirementsAbility to train others on all aspects of warehouse dutiesIdentify needs of Warehouse Team and move to most critical function as requiredMaintain a clean and safe working environmentOther duties as assignedEducation – Experience – QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience working in shipping portals (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) requiredMinimum 3 years of previous shipping and receiving experience requiredQualified/certified forklift driverIntermediate to Advanced PC, Microsoft Office skills requiredDemonstrated effective communication skills: written and oralDemonstrated ability to multi-task, handling frequent interruptions and shifting prioritiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measureBe organized and efficientAbility to communicate fluently in EnglishDemonstrated self-motivation and self-discipline traitsHave a positive and flexible attitudeExcellent interpersonal skills needed to deal with a wide range of individualsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
