Job description
Job TitleJoin a team of professionals where you will be responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.Come Build with Us:Compare identifying information, part numbers, serial numbers, count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading.Communicate with supervisor daily on the specifics concerning quantities of parts being shipped and where they will be shipped to.Ensure proper packing of parts being shipped; examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.Prepare required shipping forms, assemble boxes, create packing and/or part labels, pack cartons, and adhere packing slips/labels to cartons.Call authorized freight companies to arrange the pick-up of shipments.Receive all material, rough turned parts and daily deliveries from UPS, FedEx and other freight companies.Verify merchandise received against the packing slip and purchase order.Check deliveries for damage before signing receipt of goods. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, report damaged items, record shortages and report them to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor.
