Shipping And Receiving Role In ManufacturingShipping and Receiving role in Manufacturing - URGENT NEED Performance/Pay Review after 90 days + Same Day Pay 1st Shift - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - FridayWe are looking to add to our team, specifically someone who is dependable, safety-focused, willing to learn, and take pride in producing quality work. We encourage you to learn more about opportunities with Pioneer Metal Finishing and join our team today!OverviewAs a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will perform the following functions:Receiving:Receive in Purchase Order, verify incoming goods against purchase orders, freight bills, delivery tickets, and other documentation, including part numbers, quantities, descriptions, weights, and dimensions.Report damaged materials or discrepancies to Customer Service.Accurately count items manually or by using a scale.Prepare purchase orders for subcontracted work.Respond to and expedite rush orders and other conditions affecting workflow.Complete identification tags and attach them to the appropriate products.Transport products to designated areas using a forklift, pallet jack, or other material-handling equipment.Shipping:Verify finished products against the corresponding shipping documentation.Select appropriate packaging based on the product and shipping method.Determine the appropriate method of shipment.Schedule 3rd party carriers.Collaborate with the Shipping and Receiving/Traffic Supervisor to efficiently plan weekly company-truck stops.Coordinate the loading of company trucks to maximize space and route efficiency.Complete all required shipment documentation.Obtain credit approval from Customer Service for any shipment requiring review.Maintain accurate clerical records related to shipping and receiving activities.What we're Looking For:High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.Ability to safely operate a forklift and pallet jack, this is 5% of the role.Ability to accurately count products and review shipping and receiving documentation.Regular exposure to sharp skid corners, utility knives, sharp tools, ladders, moving heavy loads, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.Employees must follow all applicable safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.Excellent communication and high level of detail and coordination with internally and externally.What to Expect on the Job:Must be able to frequently bend, lift, kneel, and twist.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.Must be able to climb stairs and safely operate a forklift.Must be able to alternate between sitting and standing throughout the workday.Must be able to frequently lift materials and move heavy carts.Benefits SummaryWe offer the following benefits to All Employees immediately upon hire:Next-Day Pay: Don't wait for payday; access your daily pay the next day!Quarterly Incentive Program: Paid based on hours worked and business resultsPaid company holidaysEmployee Assistance ProgramWellness ProgramOn-the-Job Training and Advancement OpportunitiesEmployee Recognition and Rewards ProgramFun Recognition Events and more!Full-Time Employees (30 + hours per week) may participate in the following benefits:Medical, dental, and vision insurance (Eligibility begins on the 1st of the month, following your start date)Paid Time Off: 80 Hours earned in your first yearAccess to Garner Incentive or a Health Savings Account up to $3,000 annually401(k) plan with a company match of up to 2% of bi-weekly contributionFlexible Spending AccountsCompany-paid Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insuranceTuition reimbursementAdditional benefits for employee purchase: life insurance, critical illness, voluntary accident, and accidental death & dismembermentLiveHealth Online, virtual doctor visits
