Job description
Shipping And Receiving ClerkThe Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the supervision of unloading all inbound deliveries into Monoflo VA Facilities. Following the Receiving Process, the Receiving Clerk I will receive, inspect and accept deliveries of purchased items for Monoflo International. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk I is also responsible for all outbound small package shipments via UPS or other similar provider (small order shipments and sales samples).Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceiving ResponsibilitiesOperate a Fork Truck for movement of deliveries/materialsPhysical ReceivingUnload trucksAssist LTL delivery drivers in loading and unloading of containersInspect contents to ensure they are undamagedInspect labels to ensure Item #'s are located/printed on the core of each rollSign carrier paperwork, packing slips and document shortages, damages, etc.Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated placeIdentify and label items going back to Baker with Requestor informationMaintain accurate records and assist in inventory controlKeeping assigned sections of the department clean and orderlyAssist warehouse team with picking, pulling and putting away component items being sent to or returning from the production plantOther duties as assigned by Shipping/Receiving Clerk II and/or Warehouse ManagerLoading of outbound trucksLabeling work orders as neededShipping ResponsibilitiesAssembles orders and prepares goods for shipmentsRepacks inbound shipments for outbound orders for immediate shipment via small package carrierStages outbound shipments for small carrier pick-upStages and applies labeling for Less than Truck Load (LTL) shipmentsMaintains clean and safe isle ways in designated zone and designated dock areaAssists with the loading and unloading of trailers as neededQualifications:Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar positionWorking knowledge of computer programs for entering dataIQMSMicrosoft ExcelAdvanced math and recording skillsDemonstrates ability to work independently within parameters set forth by Warehouse Manager; take and follow directionBe able to consistently lift 40lbsGreat communication and interpersonal abilitiesExperience in operating forkliftsSuccessfully pass the Fork Truck certificationComprehensive Benefits & Perks:Financial Wellness: 401(k) retirement plan with company match and annual/quarterly bonus opportunities.Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Security: Short-term and long-term disability insurance.Optional Extras: Employee-paid voluntary life insurance and supplemental benefits.Time Off: Competitive PTO, paid holidays, and a company-paid Christmas shutdown.Unique Perks: Raffles for concerts, sports, and entertainment tickets.
