Job description

Shipping, Receiving & Control Panel Assembly TechnicianFor over 35 years, Peak Technologies has been at the forefront of providing end-to-end enterprise mobility, managed services, printing and mobile data capture solutions for performance-driven organizations focused on the optimization of supply chain and field-based business processes.The Shipping, Receiving & Control Panel Assembly Technician is responsible for receiving, identifying, organizing, internally distributing incoming materials; maintaining inventory for designated purchase orders; gathering and preparing materials for shipment; and assembling industrial control panels according to provided specifications, drawings, and bills of material.This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to accurately manage materials through receiving, inventory, assembly, and shipping activities.Key AccountabilitiesReceive incoming shipments and verify materials against purchase orders and available shipping documentation.Identify the appropriate purchase order, project, or internal destination for received materials.Deliver received materials to the correct internal location based on purchase order or project requirements.Identify and report damaged materials, shortages, or discrepancies.Maintain an organized receiving and material staging area.Inventory and track designated materials associated with specific purchase orders.Organize and identify materials to maintain accurate project-specific inventory.Gather and stage components according to bills of material (BOMs).Verify gathered materials against the applicable BOM or project documentation.Identify and communicate missing, incorrect, or damaged components.Maintain accurate material and inventory information using applicable company tracking methods and systems.Gather materials and equipment according to bills of material and project requirements.Organize materials into complete project or shipment packages.Palletize, package, and secure materials for shipment.Label and stage completed shipments for pickup or delivery.Help ensure that components and materials are properly protected and organized prior to shipment.Assemble industrial control panels according to provided specifications, drawings, and bills of material.Install and mount components and hardware within control panels as specified.Verify that required components are available for assembly.Maintain organized and properly identified project materials throughout the assembly process.Identify and report missing, incorrect, or damaged components.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Follow applicable company safety and quality requirements.Education + Experience + Key TraitsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, material handling, manufacturing, or control panel assembly preferred.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, sorting and filtering data, and updating inventory, purchase order, and material tracking information.Ability to accurately identify, organize, and track parts and materials.Ability to read and follow purchase orders, bills of material (BOMs), drawings, and written work instructions.Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand tools.Ability to manage materials for multiple projects or purchase orders while maintaining proper identification and separation.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to identify and communicate material shortages, discrepancies, and other issues.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Typical Performance TargetsService Delivery: Sustained, measured excellence in project & process deliveryCost To Serve: Sustained, measured excellence in delivery efficiency with expected continuous improvementInnovation: Step changed delivery in safety, quality, and/or costLanguage SkillsPrimary language used in daily operations is English.
