Shipping & Receiving CoordinatorEnvases Ohio is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our Logistics team. This position plays an important role in keeping our manufacturing operations moving by coordinating daily inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting on time delivery of materials and finished products.The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment. This person will work closely with the Logistics Manager, warehouse team, plant operations, quality, customer support, and freight carriers to ensure shipments are accurate and moving efficiently.Responsibilities of all Envases Employees:Commit to ensuring the health/wellness of our employees and product.Ensure jobs and operations are performed safely to protect employees and maintain the sustainability of company equipment and machinery.Ensure the security of the workforce and maintain any client confidentiality requirements.Deliver timely and efficiently without hindering quality of services or work and support the team in meeting customer delivery schedules.Work in a team-centered environment by identifying ways to help others be successful.Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and assignments.Work at a fast pace and actively pursue assigned tasks and direction.Be willing to work extended hours and adapt to changing work schedules as operational needs require.Determine what work needs to be completed without always requiring direct instruction.Take initiative to complete additional work that is beneficial to the team and overall operation.Education & Experience:Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.Experience: 2–4+ years of shipping, receiving, logistics, or inventory control experience within a high-speed manufacturing or distribution environment preferred. Food packaging or manufacturing experience is a plus.Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.Detail & Volume Focus: Strong attention to detail, inventory accuracy, organization, and ability to manage a high volume of transactions.Communication & Adaptability: Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with logistics management, carriers, suppliers, warehouse personnel, and plant staff.General Skills/Experience:Understanding of manufacturing and warehouse processes.Understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and logistics processes.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Ability to identify discrepancies and take appropriate action to resolve them.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to think critically about situations as they arise and develop practical solutions.Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.Proven ability to work collaboratively with coworkers, suppliers, carriers, and other business partners.Friendly, professional, and personable approach when working with internal and external contacts.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive company and customer information appropriately.Software/Computer Skills & Experience:Intermediate level of knowledge in basic hardware and software using a variety of computer operating systems and programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, Outlook/Gmail, and website-based software.Ability to learn new software systems, ERP/WMS platforms, and data management systems quickly.Proficient keyboarding and typing skills.Prior experience using software to generate reports, shipping documents, schedules, and inventory records.Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred.Prior experience using SAP preferred.Environmental & Physical Factors:The physical demands and work environment described below represent the activities and surroundings of the position. Occasionally works in all weather conditions, extreme temperatures, around chemicals and chemical fumes/emissions, and in both dusty and clean environments. Frequently works around electrical and mechanical hazards. When working with surplus and scrap materials, will frequently be required to work outside and/or in an unair-conditioned warehouse.Continuous use of vision, hearing, and speech is required. Position requires frequent standing and walking, approximately 90% of the time, with occasional bending. May be required to lift, carry, pull, push, and reach for materials and supplies. On occasion, may be required to lift up to 50 pounds while performing various job duties. Position may require climbing stairs and ladders, lifting and moving objects, and repetitive use of keyboard and computer devices.Employees must wear required personal protective equipment, which may include safety glasses, hearing protection/earplugs, steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and other PPE as required by the work area or task.Hours / Special Conditions: Hours will vary depending upon the assigned shift and operational needs. The position will typically work eight-hour days, five days per week, with flexibility required to meet plant operational and customer needs. Schedule may vary based on production requirements, shipping and receiving volumes, customer demands, and carrier schedules. Flexibility may include extended workdays and occasional evenings and weekends. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
