Job description
Shipping/Receiving Worker (Swing Shift)We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our client's team in Fremont, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining accurate records of received goods, and rejecting unsatisfactory items as needed. The clerk will also handle merchandise shipping records, distribute materials in inventory and on the manufacturing line, prepare kitting packages, and complete the put-away function for received goods. Additionally, CPD labeling must be performed according to customer requirements. The role involves lifting heavy items and may require operating a forklift.Shifts and Pay :Swing: 3:35PM – 12:05AM - $23/hrResponsibilities :Unpack and inspect received goods against purchase orders/invoicesMaintain records of all received goods and handle rejected itemsKeep accurate records of shipped merchandiseExamine, stock, and distribute materials to inventory and manufacturing linePrepare kitting packages as requiredPerform put-away of received goodsLabel products per customer CPD requirementsLift and handle heavy items (up to 50 lbs), operate a forklift (if required)Requirements :Minimum 6 months of related experienceStrong attention to detailAbility to regularly lift, push, or move up to 50 poundsAbility to stand for prolonged periodsEffective team player, strong communication skillsAble to follow verbal and written instructionsHigh school diploma or GED
