Job description
ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
JOB DUTIES:
Supervises activities of employees engaged in shipping, loading, and unloading of trucks
Supervises at multiple plant locations depending on daily workload
Oversees packing and distribution of finished goods
Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements
Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
Meets warehouse operational standards
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS and education requirements:
3+ years of supervisory experience required; Shipping experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of warehouse software packages (MS NAV preferred) and scanning equipment
Proficiency in MS Office
Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done in a safe manner
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
Strong organizational and time management skills
PHYSICAL Environment & Requirements:
Plant/Production facility, occasionally outside, or in-store; Possible extreme heat/cold dependent on season
Continuously requires ability to follow verbal and/or written direction
Frequently requires walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling (up to 200lbs), bending, and crouching
Occasionally requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, climbing and handling
May require ability to operate machinery, drive vehicles (truck, car, van, tug, forklift) or use equipment such as hand tools, computers, or general business equipment
CDL license or tug/forklift certification may be required
