Shoe Care SpecialistThe ideal Shoe Care Specialist candidate is an owner at heart; they are motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service.A day in the life…Perform and complete Shoe Care tasks according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standardsEnsure the shine stand is organized and ready to deliver on customer expectationsShine shoes; provide consultation on care of shoes and minor repair on shoesUtilize store technology to answer phones, check out customers and properly record customer information.Meet department and individual productivity goalsCommunicate supply needs in a timely manner to managerMaintain accurate records of shoe care transactions and record tips dailyMay flex into other shoe stock and cleaning tasks when neededYou own this if you have…Basic math, organization, and written communication skillsPrevious shoeshine experience; preferred minimum 1-2 yearsAbility to effectively build relationships with customers, peers, and leadership through clear and professional communicationA willingness to learn, and a high level of ownership for personal growth, accountability and initiativeAbility to work independently, with little or no day-to-day directionThe ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needsPhysical Requirements:Continuous movement for 2-4 hours at a time, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching in order to handle product and assist customersFrequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pullingPerform physical activities such as stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, and crouching to shine and clean shoesWhile performing services, a stool may be requestedRegularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 poundsPay Range DetailsThe pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws.
