Job description
Shop AssistantThe Shop Assistant is responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing, and storing inventory according to purchase orders and company procedures. They also ensure that shipping schedules are met with attention to detail to ensure timely delivery of goods to construction projects.Responsibilities:Coordinate and provide equipment, product, service & material ordersPicking/Pulling (Fulfillment) of equipment & material ordersMaintain stock inventory levels of equipment & materialEnter completed orders into computerized Order Management System.Deliver fulfilled orders of equipment & material to construction projectRetrieve tools & material from construction project back to warehouseInspect tools & Equipment for safe and proper operation.Restock shelvesCoordinate incoming delivery of construction (Project Specific) goodsOffload incoming deliveries of construction (Project Specific) goodsEnter construction (Project Specific) goods into computerized Warehouse Management SystemPerforms other duties as assignedExperience and Qualifications:Previous forklift experienceValid driver's license with a clean driving recordHigh school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentOther Qualifications:Ability to lift up to 50 lbsInterpersonal communication skills and a positive, professional attitude when interacting with co-workers, clients, customers, etc…
