As a Shop Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, helping us deliver on our promise of excellence, and serving others by delighting people for all of life's celebrations.As a Shop Assistant at the Viviano Flower Shop of Rochester, MI branch you will work directly with our amazing team to receive and process shipments of flowers. You will also help ensure that the overall appearance of the store is a positive experience. This is a part-time position, and requires availability to work three days a week. The available shift is Tuesday, Thursday, and either Saturday or Monday.Essential duties and responsibilities:Unload and unpack incoming shipments of flowersExamine shipments of flowers for any defects or damageSort and distribute product to correct storage locationsKeep storage and inventory areas cleaned and organizedQualified candidates will possess the following:Self-starter, "get-it-done" personality who will take initiative from day oneThrive in a fast-paced and physical environmentReliableAbility to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekendsAble to frequently lift and carry up to 20 poundsAble to stand on their feet and walk for 8 hours a dayWe offer the following benefits:Competitive hourly wagePaid sick time25% employee discount on our products
