Sheet Metal Shop ForemanDynaTen (a Comfort Systems USA Company) has been successfully providing Commercial Service and Construction Solutions to the greater North Texas market. The Sheet Metal Shop Foreman is involved with managing commercial mechanical construction projects and assists with project needs including material management, personnel, schedules and communication with the project management team, customers and building officials. This is a critical position that will be highly visible in our operation. You will help execute our organization's strategic goals, manage key customer relationships and mentor direct reports in their day-to-day responsibilities. Additionally, this is a position that offers professional leadership development and long-term career growth in service operations leadership and beyond.ResponsibilitiesKnowledge of project schedule/milestones, submittals, contract documents (addenda, specifications, drawings) and in-house shop drawing.Ability to coordinate with other trades to complete HVAC/piping installations within the project scope and schedule.Experience managing project crews to install multiple types of HVAC and Duct Systems.Accountable for the safe performance of personnel and equipment.Understanding/complies with the company tool policy and can pass these values to less experienced employees.Involved with completing paperwork and daily reports, next week's plans, accident report, disciplinary reports, etc.Requirements5 or more years of experience in a duct work fabrication setting.Familiar with SMACNA and interpreting duct construction.OSHA 30-Hour certification preferredComputer aptitude to learn new systems / softwareMaintain a positive, cooperative and teachable attitudeRequires mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skillsExperience overseeing shop personnel - journeyman and apprentice/helpersComplies and promotes company Safety PolicyInitiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starterExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to complete required documentation electronicallyAnalytical and problem-solving skillsProfessional demeanor and positive, caring attitude.Must be able to work independently and without supervision.Ability to stand, squat, bend, kneel, climb, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materialsAbility to pass a drug screeningAbility to pass MVR checkAbility to travel, as needed based on project needs.What You Can ExpectExceptional health, dental and vision insurance.Paid Employee Only Medical CoverageIn house and manufacturer led training, leadership developmentLong-term career growth into operations, sales and/or leadershipComprehensive benefit package and employer sponsored memberships401k match, PTO, Holiday Pay, and more!Annual incentive programCompensation for Technician commute timeStable work with a guaranteed 40 hours per week minimumWorking ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, humidity, rain, snow, wind, and sunlight.
