Job description
Shop HelperThe Shop Helper assists all personnel and managers in maintenance tasks as requested and is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of all Shop areas.Essential Functions and Duties:Ability to take direction for tasks and to learn new skillsProvide assistance as needed to all Shop personnel and managementBe able to prep vehicles and equipment for painting, including sanding and doing work requiring the use of a respirator or maskBe able to remove wheels and parts on trailers and trucksMust maintain Shop cleanliness in all areas, including areas only accessible by ladder or liftBe able to use computer systems to research and order parts as directed and communicate with vendorsMust be able to drive to pick-up or deliver parts as neededAll other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must have some knowledge of Shop equipment and toolsMust be computer proficientMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistanceMust be able to climb a ladder and work at a variety of heightsExcellent computer proficiencyMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesRequired Education and Experience:Prefer: Prior Shop or maintenance experienceRequired: High school diploma or GEDWorking Conditions:Indoors/ Outdoors in Shop that may not be heated or cooledFrequent lifting, standing, squatting and walkingDusty environment where use of respirator or face mask may be necessaryFacility where chemicals and paint are usedColeman Worldwide Moving Benefits for Employees (not applicable for seasonal employees if not stated):40 hours of VACATION PAY after 1-year employmentArray of voluntary health benefits including but not limited to (Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, and more)6 paid holidays after 90 days for Full Time employees (Seasonal Included)Referral Bonus ProgramsColeman Worldwide Moving (and affiliated companies) (collectively "CWM") is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
