Shop Helper / Painter / FabricatorLocation: Matthews, NCSchedule: Monday– Friday, 4:30 AM– 12:30 PM, with overtime as neededPay: $24 - $28 per hour, based on experienceJob Type: Full-TimeJob Summary: We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Helper / Painter / Fabricator to join a busy production team. This hands-on role will assist with steel fabrication, painting, material handling, assembly, and general shop operations. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesAssist with fabrication, painting, and production activitiesLoad, unload, move, and stage steel and other materialsClean, grind, and prepare steel for fabrication and paintingAssist welders and fabricators with materials and partsPaint steel structures and crane componentsAssist with crane assembly and basic quality inspectionsSafely use hand and power toolsRead tape measures, part tags, and material labelsOperate forklifts and overhead cranes after trainingPerform other shop duties as assignedQualificationsManufacturing, fabrication, construction, or shop experience preferredAbility to read a tape measure and use basic hand and power toolsStrong work ethic and dependable attendanceMechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to follow instructions and work well with a teamAbility to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the workdayPreferred: Experience with welding, fabrication, industrial painting, mechanical assembly, forklifts, or overhead cranes.If you enjoy hands-on work and are looking for a stable opportunity with room to grow, apply today!
