Job description
Machine OperatorThis role supports daily work in a structural steel fabrication shop. You’ll help run machines, move heavy steel beams, use tools, and keep the work area safe. The job is physical, hands-on, and includes regular overtime.ResponsibilitiesAssist drill line operations and prepare large steel beamsUse hand tools and power tools for basic assembly or disassemblyLearn to operate an overhead crane to move materialsAlign beams correctly for drillingLoad programs and run drilling machineryPerform general machine operation and production tasksFollow blueprints or instructionsMaintain a steady work pace and meet quality standardsKeep the work area clean and safeRequired SkillsLift and move up to 75 lbs regularlyMechanical aptitude and comfort with toolsExperience or interest in machine operationWillingness to learn new equipmentStrong safety awarenessHelpful ExperienceShop helper or general labor backgroundDrill press or drill line experienceBasic blueprint readingStructural steel or fabrication experienceComfortable in a union environmentWork EnvironmentFirst shift: 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., plus Saturday overtimeHeated and air-conditioned shop with newer equipmentHands-on, physical work with heavy steelSafety-focused, production-driven environmentJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Souderton, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.57 - $19.57/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
