Shop HVAC FabricationThis role focuses on pulling and organizing materials for HVAC construction projects and fabricating custom sheet metal products. You will support the shop by preparing rough-in materials, assembling ductwork components, and ensuring all materials are stored correctly, while consistently following safety and personal protective equipment guidelines.ResponsibilitiesPull rough-in material for HVAC construction projects according to job specificationsPut away returned material from jobs in the correct area to maintain an organized shopFabricate and assemble rough-in sheet metal material for HVAC systems, including ductworkLoad and unload materials and equipment, including trailers, in a safe and efficient mannerConsistently wear and maintain proper personal protective equipment while working in the shopLearn and operate sheet metal fabricating equipment and related toolsUse hand tools and general labor skills to support fabrication and material handling tasksCommunicate effectively with coworkers and leadership to coordinate work and resolve issuesApply general math skills to measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal components accuratelyLift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workdayContribute as a committed team player to meet project deadlines and production goalsEssential SkillsExperience with general labor tasks in a shop or construction environmentAbility to safely use hand tools for cutting, fastening, and assembling materialsBasic sheet metal fabrication skills, including measuring, cutting, and assembling componentsUnderstanding of HVAC sheet metal and ductwork materials and componentsAbility to load and unload trailers and handle materials safelyStrong sense of urgency to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlinesAbility to effectively communicate information to coworkers and managementGeneral math skills for measurements and basic calculationsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the dayDemonstrated commitment to working safely and wearing proper personal protective equipmentTeam-oriented mindset with willingness to support others and collaborateAdditional Skills & QualificationsFlexible personal style with the ability to work well with diverse personalitiesProfessional yet personable demeanor in daily interactionsPerson-oriented approach, focusing on cooperation and clear communicationReliability and strong work ethic in a fast-paced shop environmentWillingness to learn new fabrication equipment and techniquesWhy Work Here?You join a team-oriented environment where safety, collaboration, and mutual respect are priorities. You work with hand tools, sheet metal materials, ductwork components, and fabricating equipment, and regularly load and unload trailers and handle materials up to 50 pounds. The work is active and physical, requiring consistent use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety practices throughout the day.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sauk Rapids, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
