Shop Manager | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Kentwood region seeking Shop Managers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates- not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily production schedules and resource allocation to meet manufacturing targets.
Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure product standards.
Manage shop floor personnel, including training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
Monitor equipment maintenance and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Optimize workflow processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Track and report on key production metrics, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
Coordinate with supply chain and engineering departments to ensure smooth production flow.
Recommended Qualifications
5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of skilled technicians.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated experience with production scheduling, quality control, and inventory management.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
