Shop Manager | Muskegon, MI
Salary Range: $88,000 - $134,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily production schedules and resource allocation.
Manage and mentor shop floor personnel, including performance reviews and training.
Ensure adherence to quality control standards and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material procurement to prevent production delays.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and maintain a secure working environment.
Optimize workflow processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to facilitate new product development and order fulfillment.
Recommended Qualifications
Associate's degree in a manufacturing-related field or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for leading a diverse team
