Fayetteville Contractors is a locally, family owned and operated excavation company. We are currently growing and are looking to hire a Mechanic/Service Technician to join our Team. The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues on automotive, heavy trucks and a variety of construction equipment.
nDuties and Responsibilities:
nnTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems of heavy duty trucks, vehicles, and other construction equipment
nPerform preventative maintenance tasks such as, oil changes, tune ups etc.
nDiagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
nPositive interface with service department, supervisors, and clients
nMaintain functional condition by listening to operator complaints, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions
nAt times provide off-site repair assistance with our Road Mechanic
nPrepare proper documentation of actions taken
nMaintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
nPositive interface with service, department, peers and clients
nOther duties, as assigned
n nQualifications:
nnAt least 3 years' experience with automotive and heavy truck repairs or heavy construction equipment
nAbility to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment problems
nStrong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
nHave a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety
nMust have basic set of mechanic’s hand tools
nMust be able to work on several types and brands of equipment
nValid Driver’s License, CDL but not required
nMust be able to pass drug test and background check
