The Assembler will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a Non-Exempt employee.The ideal candidate will have a high sense of awareness in the workplace, regard safety as a high priority, have basic knowledge of tools and equipment, be team-oriented, and be customer service-driven. This candidate will also have experience in hands-on manufacturing, preferably in an industrial setting.Job DescriptionAble to read mechanical drawings (knowledge of piping a plus)Strong math skills (working with both fractions and metrics)Attention to detail (work demands high tolerances, fit, and finish)Ability to problem solve (interpreting drawings and spatial relationships)Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.Ability to demonstrate mechanical skills such as:Use of power tools: drill, press, band saw, cut-off saw, pipe threader, electric drill, etc.Use of measuring tools, such as a tape measure, spirit level, plumb bob, etc.Use of hand tools, wrenches, ratchets, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.Must maintain a positive attitude, communicate well with others, and be an effective team member.Strong organizational skills.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Take appropriate measures to ensure safety in the workplace.
