nWhat You Will Do
nnnPerform system diagnostic, replacement and repairs on, but not limited to electrical hydraulic systems; and component replacement and repairs on, but not limited to: dippers, handles, swing, propel, crowd and hoist transmissions, hoist cables, GET (ground engaging tools), drill bits, drill pipes, hydraulic pumps and motors, engines, electric motors, gear boxes, compressors, auto lube systems, and hydraulic valves and hoses.

nnPrioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.
n
nnPerform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance.
n
nnResponsible for the accurate completion of Work Orders.
n
nnTrain and mentor other employees.
n
nnMay be required to proficiently perform welding tasks, such as: carbon arc, plasma, Mig, Tig, and stick.
n
nnMay operate equipment such as: forklifts, cranes, and small mobile equipment.
n
nnPerform other duties as required.

n nWhat You Bring To Freeport
nnnTwo (2) years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
n
nnMust have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude.
n
nnShovel/Drill Diagnostic Mechanic I: Practical Skills Assessments defined in LOP.
n
nnAbility to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English
n
nnAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures and applicable safety standards
n
nnProficient in layout and design and working from blueprints.
n
nnAbility to effectively communicate and work closely with other maintenance team members.
n
n nPreferred Qualifications
nnHigh School Diploma or GED
n nWhat We Offer You
nThe estimated pay range for this role is currently $27.00 - $36.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
